NOT GUILTY – Client charged with unlawfully obtaining over $10,000

Our client was the passenger of a vehicle. Police activated their warning lights and sirens and stopped the vehicle for random testing.

Upon stopping the vehicle, police searched our client. Police located over $10,000 in our clients possession.

Police seized the money and charged our client with unlawfully obtained goods under Section 527C(1)(a) of the Crimes Act 1900.

The maximum penalty for this offence is 6 months imprisonment and a fine of $550.
