Client Charged with Driving While Disqualified for the EIGHTH time, avoids jail

Our client a young man classed as a habitual offender was caught driving while being disqualified for the eighth time.

On the last few occasions he was sentenced to terms of imprisonments and was now facing a long term jail sentence.

Our client was charged under section 54 (1)(A) of the Road Transportation Act 2013. This charge carries a maximum penalty of 1 year in prison with an automatic license disqualification and a hefty fine of $5,500.

Shortly after arrest, our client contacted Oxford Lawyers to appear for him. He was able to retain Mr Zemarai Khatiz, Criminal Law Specialist who worked tirelessly to assess the facts and circumstances of the case. After length preparation, convincing submissions were made to the court which in turn led to a favourable outcome to be reached.

The outcome surpassed our client’s expectations as he avoided full term imprisonment entirely.

Our client praised the high level of professionalism and care in which his case was handled by Mr Khatiz and the staff at Oxford Lawyers. He also commended Mr Khatiz on his hard work and dedication in order to reach the best possible outcome.
