A man faced an affray charge for a fight that he did not instigate.
Our client was in an elevator with several men when another man entered the elevator and an altercation occurred. Our client was forced to be involved and attempted to restrain one of the parties involved in the fight.
Under the Crimes Act 1900, Section 93C (1) our client could have faced up to a maximum of 10 years imprisonment.
In fear of facing imprisonment, our client made a life changing decision and contacted Oxford Lawyers. Mr Zemarai Khatiz represented our client at Downing Centre Local Court. He made compelling arguments that led to the prosecution withdrawing the charge against our client.
Thanks to Mr Khatiz’s extensive knowledge of the law and his thorough preparation, our client is now able to continue his life and work hard towards his bright future.
