Great Result – Good Behaviour Bond for a ROBBERY CHARGE!

It was alleged that the victim had exited a shopping mall and was walking down the street when our client grabbed the victim by their jacket with both hands and pushed them into a foyer. He then  demanded the victim give their designer bag. The victim handed over the designer bag and our client left the scene.

The victim then reported the incident to the police.

Police located our client with the victim’s designer bag.

Police arrested and charged our client with the following:

Robbery under Section 94(a) of the Crimes Act 1900

The Maximum penalty for this offence is 14 years imprisonment.

The client had used the services of another organisation in the Local Court and he was unsatisfied with the result.

Our client then contacted Oxford Lawyers where he retained Principal Solicitor and Accredited Criminal Law Specialist Mr Zemarai Khatiz.

Mr Khatiz believed that our client was entitled to a more favourable sentence and appealed the matter to Parramatta District Court in order to reduce the penalty. The Judge agreed and reduced the sentence from an Intensive Correction Order to a Conditional Release Order, which is only a Good Behavior Bond.

Our client could not have been happier with the result and was appreciative that Mr Khatiz worked so hard to achieve the best result possible.
