Our client was potentially facing 2 years imprisonment after a minor physical altercation inside a shopping centre.

Our client was involved in a trivial dispute in the middle of a shopping centre. This minor disagreement was nothing more than a mere exchange of words, that later turned into a scuffle where it was alleged that our client punched the alleged victim in the nose.

As a result of the alleged incident, she was charged with common assault under Section 61 of the Crimes Act 1900. If found guilty of this offence our client would have faced a maximum of 2 years imprisonment.
