Client Caught Driving whilst on Drugs – No Conviction!

Oxford Lawyers Criminal lawyers Parramatta – Criminal Lawyers Sydney

Our client was driving when he was stopped by police and was subjected to an oral fluid test. The test returned a positive result for cocaine and cannabis in our clients system.

Our client was placed under arrest and conveyed to Surry Hills Police Station.

Our client was charged with Drive Motor vehicle with illicit drug present in oral fluid under Section 111(1)(a) of the Roads Transport Act 2013.

The maximum penalty for this offence is a Conviction with a fine of $2200.

Having a Conviction would lead to the termination of our clients employment.

Fortunately our client contacted Oxford Lawyers and retained Principal Solicitor and Accredited Criminal Law Specialist Mr Zemarai Khatiz.

Mr Khatiz appeared at Downing Centre Local Court and made strong submissions to the Magistrate to an impose a non-conviction good behaviour bond.

The Magistrate was won over by Mr Khatiz’s submissions and imposed a Section 10(1)(b) discharging our client without a conviction under a conditional release order (CRO). Our client was ecstatic with the result, as it meant that his job will not be terminated and he can continue to support himself and his family.

If you want to reach the best resolution, you’ll want Oxford Lawyers on the job. For immediate assistance, please contact Mr Zemarai Khatiz and the Oxford Lawyers team.
